In this year 21-29 October we had an amazing youth exchange in Jelgava. We carried out a 9-day project with a total of 24 people, 13 German and 12 Latvian participants.
We spent 3 days of the project in Riga. We carried out our activities at the BaMbuss youth studio. Of course, we also had outdoor activities. We discovered Latvian history and culture while having fun with Action Bound. For the remaining 5 days, we stayed at the UPESLĪČI guest house, which even has a small zoo full of alpacas.
In Jelgava, we implemented the activities by dividing them into days with our German and Latvian group. We had a lot of fun and learned non-formally in our project, where youth opportunities and Youthpass were promoted and dance, music, entertainment and friendship were at the forefront.
With this project, young people’s communication with each other was supported. Participants made linguistic progress. They learned leadership skills and working in a team. They learned non-formal learning. They had the opportunity to meet a new culture and introduce their own culture.
