Project Description
Youth exchange “Adventures in your Career Choices” activities will be organized in Riga, Latvia from April 3 until 11, 2020. Youngsters 18-30 years old from Latvia, Spain, Romania and Italy will come together to explore various possibilities of starting their career, changing their professional sphere.
The main objectives of youth exchange project are:
– to empower the future professional development of young people by involving them in non-formal activities aimed at exploring the challenges they face; – to exchange practices; – improve participants’ competences; – to form a clearer, broader vision for their future career development on the labour market, as self-employed or as entrepreneurs.
The Youth Exchange will include various activities like:
– presentation of local realities in the represented countries; – exploring own career path and objectives; – Simulation: interviews on real job offers; – presentation of EU opportunities and local programs for young people: volunteering, internships, etc. and sharing experience/stories from participants; – meeting with the Eurodesk representative and discover about various possibilities for young people in the EU; – activity with a guest speaker about his/her experience in starting an entrepreneurship/social business; – start-up ideas development in small groups and presentation of these ideas in a big group.
The Youth Exchange project is organized by Baltic Regional fund and funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus + program. The program in Latvia is administered by the Youth International Program Agency.
