The three-day training initiative was tailored for our local volunteers. The primary objective of this program was to equip participants with an understanding of volunteering, both at the local and international levels, covering various types of volunteering initiatives. Additionally, the training delved into the organizational landscape of the Baltic Regional Fund and the scope of BaMbuss, empowering volunteers with the knowledge to conceive and implement their initiatives.
Transitioning into the second part of the training, our local volunteers were presented with a practical challenge: the organization of the Halloween Party at the Youth Studio. Over three days, participants engaged in hands-on experience, developing essential skills in program creation, social media promotion, event decoration, and budget management. The emphasis was not solely on theoretical knowledge but on applying acquired skills in a real-world scenario.
During the Halloween Party preparations, local volunteers collaborated closely with ESC international volunteers, aligning their efforts with the dissemination of youth opportunities. This intercultural collaboration not only enriched the event planning process but also created a platform for the exchange of ideas and perspectives, fostering a sense of global citizenship among the participants.
The training culminated in the successful execution of the Halloween Party- Beyond the immediate success of the event, participants left the training with a newfound confidence, armed with practical skills and a heightened awareness of the transformative potential inherent in volunteering initiatives.
