Project Description
“GET THE NET” is bringing together a consortium of partners with the same approach to the involvement of young people in Democratic participation, inspiring a mentality of active participation and aiming to create the citizens of tomorrow.
We want to give space to young people to make themselves heard, to inform them about possible opportunities for contribution, involvement and participation in democratic procedures, and to give them the tools in order to create the local societies they want to live in.
The beneficiary coordinator of the program is YOU IN EUROPE, an NGO based in Greece, with a wide and long experience in the youth field and European Programs, while we collaborate with 10 European organisations from our informal network, for the implementation of the activities:
A very productive period was just completed for Get The Net KA3 Erasmus+ Project, funded by the European Union and organized by You in Europe NGO.
Our partners from different European countries, gathered all their energy, imagination and ideas, and designed, organised and implemented various activities with one common purpose: to involve young people in the Democratic participation, inspire a mentality of active participation and contribute to create the citizens of tomorrow.
Empower days was a “must” in our agenda, giving space and opportunities to young people to express themselves, offering them new tools and knowledge, and of course… awareness of their power!
The Latvian organisation, Baltic Regional Fund, organised an event in order to introduce young people to the European Union program (Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps) and local opportunities (in Riga and Latvia), as well as to establish contacts with other young people in a free atmosphere and develop ideas for summer leisure activities for young people.
