The month of July has already passed, and our volunteers hardly noticed! This summer is a busy summer for BaMbuss, and plenty of things are going on!
Laure started the month in France visiting her friends and family, whilst Khristina was in Riga hosting an EVS volunteer from Ventspils, having a great time showing her the city and enjoying the summer vibes and parades that promptly popped up around the corner.
Soon, the girls had the chance to welcome the new short-term EVS volunteers that are spending the summer in BaMbuss. They helped prepare everything for their arrival, decorated their new apartment, picked them up at the airport, and showed them the city and its hidden gems. It took no time for them all to be good friends and collaborate in different activities in the studio!
The short-term volunteers held an international evening as their own welcome party, and then started preparing their personal initiatives with the help of our girls. Laure, on her side, started her FotoKlub with quite success, and helped to host another event of Project Experience, having our new volunteers participate and share their stories in previous Erasmus+ projects. Meanwhile, Khristina started her Spanish Language Course in BaMbuss, teaching a bit of Spanish and culture for complete beginners. The volunteers also participated in trainings about bullying, learning more about how to communicate with others and act in difficult situations.
On their free time, they also visited the beautiful town of Cesis and hanged out with some other EVS volunteers they met on On-Arrival trainings. On her side, Laure went to Kometa festival to enjoy music and nature, and had different guests throughout the month coming from France, whilst Khristina continued her self-development journey through martial arts and went to see one of the live concerts of the Singing and Dancing Festival.
What will the month of August bring? The girls can’t wait to see!
