After a busy summer, September came a bit calmer and quieter.
The girls started the month with an important meeting with the BRF staff to evaluate their experience so far and to start planning and organizing their personal initiatives to be held in the following months.
Spanish Course and FotoKlub ended with the departure of the short-term volunteers (we will miss you!), but other activities started. One of them was Laure’s French Language course, which had a lot of locals interested! Interestingly, the more exciting activities and ideas for the month came from a super brainstorming session with local youngsters who wanted to join BaMbuss as new volunteers. Laure and Khristina helped them and assessed them a bit on how to turn their ideas into action, and many exciting projects came out of their meetings!
Also, Eurodesk payed a visit to BaMbuss to learn more about the work of the studio. BRF staff, along with out girls, hosted the group and told them all about their work, their initiatives, their experiences, and both previous achievements and future plans.
The month ended with Khristina’s birthday (who had a surprise birthday with her EVS and local friends) and with a promise for colder days. We are getting ready!
Project “BaMbuss Volunteers” is financially supported by the European Commission “Erasmus +: Youth in Action”, which is managed by the Youth International Program Agency in Latvia.
